I just can't believe it

My baby boy is 4 months old already! Time just seems to be flying by and its killing me. Maybe its because I'm a little older now, who knows. I just feel like I want to cling to every precious moment because they're gone in the blink of an eye. I feel bad in a way that I didn't "cling" as much with the older kids because I now know what I was missing. Does that make sense? I am so proud of my boy and so excited to see how he grows and learns new things each and every day...but its all sort of bittersweet for me though since I know that this is it. No more babies. The feeling is freeing and sadening all at the same time. It is nice to know that once Cooper is past his baby days, that I won't have to worry about diapers and late nights of endless crying. But its also sad to know that I won't get to do all of those things either. I find myself savoring and embracing the midnight feedings and the spit up messes. This must be somethat that one can only understand after making the decision that the family is complete. Ok, I'm done being sappy, lol. Have a fantabuous day!

2 hour delays are for the birds!

Thanks to the wonderful 2 hour delay, my plans have changed a bit today. No Roach sisters. I don't know which screws up my day more...the 2 hour delay or an all out cancel. So now that the monsters have vacated the premesis, and the little monster is napping...I sit here contemplating all that I need to get done today...and still I sit, lol.

I am going to try my hand at a diaper cake today. Never made one before, but I've armed myself with lots of supplies and creativity (and instructions too) so off I go! Wish me luck!

Life...interupted

Well, its been quite some time since I visited and I've decided to give it another go. If you're reading this, well, thanks for your interest.

Let's see...today was an adventure...much like any other day.

Jaelyn & Kinsley have taken a liking to 6 am reruns of Full House, so that has been making for a very early morning, lol. At least they aren't fighting with me to get out of bed for school though, so I guess its not all bad. They actually got mad at me today for getting them up 10 minutes late causing them to miss half of "their" show. Funny thing, is that I remember when that show was "my" show...only they were all NEW episodes on the TGIF block on Friday nights. Now I'm dating myself, lol.

Delanie got her first package of big girl panties last night! She is showing lots of interest in the potty so I'm going to take it and run as far and as fast as I can. She's gone as far as to disrobe and do her business all on her own, so I'm thinking its time.

Cooper is teething, so life is always fun there, lol. Lots of drool, wet shirts and crying...lets not forget the crying.

Tomorrow brings on a new set of challenges...the Roaches are coming over! My Goddaughter Riley and her big sister Avery are coming over in the morning for a few hours. I'll be sure to post the "adventures in babysitting" after the dust settles.

Nighty night all!

So my friend is sponsoring a give away for this awesome thermometer! I'm super excited and really really really want to win this one! This is the Exergen Temporal Thermometer and is (to my knowledge) the newest and most high tech thermometer on the market today. Dan and I were just talking the other day about looking into one of these. With having the three kids in the house, a fever is inevitable; it would be so nice to not have to wait and wait for an axillary temp with a regular digital thermometer. Not to mention, the one that we have does not even beep when its done, so you have to sit and watch for the little "f" to stop blinking in order to know when the temp is recorded. Very inconvenient in my world of craziness! So keep your fingers crossed because we could really use this one!

Sleepover Night!

Its here! The long awaited sleepover!

I told my brownie troop of (8 girls all age 8 years) that if they met their goal of 1600 boxes of Girl Scout cookies then they could have a sleepover at my house! Well, not only did they meet their goal, they blew it away! As a group they sold 2003 boxes in their initial orders! The best part is that the orders are STILL pouring in! Part of the deal was that when they were all here, they would get to give me a makeover with make up! This should be loads of fun! I'll update tomorrow with a pic of my new look!

I can do it!

I've come to realize today that I can do it. I CAN get on top and stay on top of my laundry. I know I can do it. The only thing I need to get a bit more confident about is the motivation part. It is not that difficult, well at least not as difficult as I seem to make it out to be; to keep up on the laundry. One load a day should do it right? So why do I struggle with this so much? I don't know. But, I am on a mission to prove to myself that I can do it. By this time tomorrow I should have it completely done, except for maybe a load of linens. After that, I should be able to do only one load per day and keep up on it. I may even be able to take the weekends off if I'm willing to do an extra load or two on Monday. I've realized that my laundry is the monster that rules my life and I'm not having it anymore! I've had enough with constantly worrying about who is going to wear what tomorrow. Even though I've always managed to keep enough washed so we all have clean clothes to wear daily, it is still a struggle to sift through the unfolded and basket ridden clothes every morning.

So here it is. My vow to myself and the entire blogging world. I WILL KEEP UP ON MY LAUNDRY. NO MATTER HOW CRAPPY I FEEL, IT WILL NOT BE AN OPTION. Because I know deep inside that if the laundry is not on my mind, I will feel better in the long run.

The Static Eliminator!

Have you heard of these things? I've never heard of them before, until today that is. My friend Dianne is hosting a give away on her blog and after reading about them, I have to say I'm really intrigued. They are completely chemical free, which means I could use them for ALL of our clothes, even the baby's! That would be so awesome to not have to buy 2 different types of dryer sheets. Unlike Dianne, I am too addicted to my dryer sheets to give them up totally, no matter how hard I try to become a "greener" person...lol. I guess she's just stronger than me ;) From what I gather, these dryer sheets come in a set of 2 and lasts for up to 500 loads! That is freaking awesome!
